I ended up grabbing an 8 port netgear switch that I'll stick on the TV stand so it can handle the PS4, Plex server and a few other devices.

Since they didn't announce anything about new motherboards, I'm probably just going to go ahead and get an x570 board. I'll be just replacing the mobo and CPU of my current build, so it will end up as this (ryzen 3600 in there as a placeholder). Anyone see any potential issues...

That is probably the most prudent way to go. As long as my current desktop doesn't have any more hardware failures I'll hold on and hope we don't get massive hardware shortages after the announcement.

It's your money, but 3090s in SLI is a massive waste if you don't absolutely need it for some specialized purpose. If you really don't need the 3080 just sell it off while the prices on them are high. Buying Mist an AC unit would be a better use of your money.

One of the competent co-workers walked off the job last week and I had to work a day shift today while he is "out indefinitely". I hate day shifts. Day people are weird and fucking annoying to deal with.

For being gacha trash it is pretty good for now. I'll probably get a few months of entertainment out of it without spending a dime.

My understanding is that it has a better SoC but they downclocked it to stay in line with the original and the only benefit is better battery life.

Most of my playtime is late at night to early morning. Seems pretty consistent regardless of time. I'll disconnect something when I get the chance and see if going wired fixes it. Being locked out of character switching in combat due to lag is really damn annoying when it happens.

Could be having it on wifi. I should run a wire to it but I'll need to grab a switch for more ports.

Is anyone else playing on PS4 and getting frequent lag spikes? My ping sits around 40ms most of the time but frequently shoots up to 300+ and I can't switch characters or grab loot for several seconds. Hopefully it's just launch pains.
