Yup, the good thing about shiny legendaries is that they're a 100% catch rate... That said, I have seen more than one post on Reddit from people that somehow managed to miss every throw. Sucks for them, but if you miss 10 throws in a row you kinda deserve it.

Just to add some extra detail to this... Research reward/egg Pokemon have minimum IVs of 10 and can't be weather boosted. Research monsters are level 15, egg hatches are level 20. Raid encounters have the same IV min of 10 but they are level 20, or 25 if weather boosted. Normal weather...
