When you break the monolith, there will be a glowy trail from the monolith top towards the general. It doesn't go the full distance, it's just about the length of the monolith.

In our 8ish clears of VP on Agnarr we got 0 Sow swords and 1 snare spear. I'm sure on your "no DZ, no picks, OW only" ideal server VP would be even more of a waste when you get to clear VP 1/3 of that amount.

Raid loot just isn't there. Group content is great, but there's basically no point to raiding anything. VP has 4 drops worth the time and outside legs/BP all the rest of raid loot is dupes from classic or just garbage.

Iksar shaman I think always had it, as they have to forage stuff for the Iksar cudgel quest. I think most all races have forage and/or hide now. Ogre's with hide is best RP decision.
