Yea, skillshot means you can't just click on the enemy and it's guaranteed to land. You actually need to aim & time it. Annie's Tibbers is a skillshot, though an easy one to land, but her Q is point & click.

Also League is basically all "skillshots" whereas DOTA has few afaik. Means higher skillcap for mechanics on a lot of champs. League still has the braindead easy point&click champs, but they are becoming rarer after every rework. People say League is "easier" but it's not really the case...

The only problem I see with the Dreadsteed deck is you NEED Rivendare... Requiring 1 card can be problematic. You don't really have enough early game or clears to wait 30 cards for it. It's still a decent concept but probably needs a lot more tweaking so it isn't so reliant on Baron.
