    What vehicle do you drive?

@Haus Gen 2, or Gen 3? If they made a wagon again, I'd be all over that for my daily *sigh*

    Car Buying Help

Sort of, but people do things for reasons we sometimes don't understand. I always loved the "I don't like the MPG of my truck, for daily driving. So, I'm going to go buy a $10,000 car to save on gas"......yeah? SAVE? OK..... I've been guilty of the car flipping/swapping thing and losing money...

That's pretty cool. Just going to be an around-town commuter, or do you intend to take trips in it as well (and what kind of range is reasonable?)

    Car Buying Help

Investigate if there is an OEM recall on the car for that known issue. Warranty or not, they would have to fix it. Second choice; keep trying to find a fix that isn't going to cost more than the price of the car. Third choice; you eat the cost and "lesson learned" on buying used without research...

    Whats rustling your jimmies?

Last time I went to the Joint Services Air Show (geez...8-9 years ago?) there were several moments when I wept, as the WW2 planes flew around. What they did, when they did it, with what they had, along with the noise (OMG the noise) really just strikes a chord.

    28mm Miniature Tabletop Wargaming Thread

No necessarily "useless", but with each new version they release new units and models that are considerably more powerful and appealing, so they can move the plastic/metal. So, the older stuff tends to fall out of favor a bit so that people feel like they have to buy "random...

If friends and family ever gets together to play Fantasy or 40k (we have almost 2 dozen armies all-in) then we just use the version of the rules that are the most enjoyable. Way too many odd or backwards changes over the years to bother with.

Well, damn! Haven't been to a C&C since they shut down the Orange County one in Cali.

    What vehicle do you drive?

Yup, it is. Even with full drag slicks, I can spin at will if I'm being a hoon in 1st and 2nd. It actually is a car that was not designed to fully make use of the power and even tires are only a band-aid. @vegrant That looks like a ton of fun. New Raptor still a 6.2, or did Ford put in...

Hellcat. In Dallas this weekend again. Hope to see some nice cars cruising around while at Truck Yard.

FWD for the Fiesta and Focus ST. AWD for the Focus RS.

    What vehicle do you drive?

Ford killin' it with fun cars these days. About time. Cad, out of curiosity - and a bit sarcastically - my daily needs new tires. Should I not go with the MPSS, Nittos, or Mickey Thompsons I've been shopping and instead get a car with inherently more stability and natural traction? If I hit the...

    What vehicle do you drive?

lag, lag, lag, lag, lag, BOOOOOOOOST. In a car that light, it would be a riot to drive. Hell, even 175 would be a ton of fun. Better power to weight than the new FRS/BRZ.

No, it needs to use more to achieve the same results.

    What vehicle do you drive?

OK, this discussion isn't getting anywhere. Here's the bottom line; YES, you can mod a car and not tune it. HOWEVER, that's not advised, it's not safe, and it won't run nearly as well. Can we move on now?

    What vehicle do you drive?

This discussion started because someone asked about down pipes. So....... And congrats on the Mk4. I had one too. 1,087 at the wheels on C16. But, the moment I started modding (well before turbo swaps and a 3.4L build) the fucking car needed to be tuned to work properly and safely.

    What vehicle do you drive?

Yeah, but they only care about a certain look, not driving around enthusiastically, or wearing the tires evenly. The Vette in the picture is set up for drag racing, not street driving. It's a silly comparison, but still somewhat valid. Nasty camber and "stance" needs to go away. But, I...

Just say no, Kids: @Hekotat From the sounds of things, you shouldn't have any strange issues now, right? It looked pretty well sorted. All the wiring has been replaced? Everything rubber too?

    What vehicle do you drive?

Very cool. But, don't forget the entry level car will be coming out this year as well and it starts at $35,000 (which can be optioned up to $60,000 if you like lots of toys).

VW, Fiat, Mini, Subaru, BMW. America doesn't get a whole lot in the wagon department. If you're OK with used, the CTS-V wagon is badass, but insanely rare with a manual.

    What vehicle do you drive?

A million people think they're gluten intolerant. That doesn't make them correct. I've lived the modded car scene for over 20 years now. If you want power, tune. If you want safety, tune. If you want simplicity and noise, don't tune. Just trying to offer sound advice and help some brothers out.

Would love to have an updated game system for Necromunda or Mordheim. Skirmish battles - to me - were a ton of fun and my favorite GW game was Gorka Morka, because of the progression and evolution of the characters you have in your party.

    What vehicle do you drive?

I think you're going to be right, on a lightly modded car which - since this is much more common - has an ECU that adjusts AFR based on some factors like gas quality and altitude.

    What vehicle do you drive?

Adding intakes and headers/downpipe changes the air to fuel ratios and can lean out the motor in a very dangerous way. Products that don't require tunes also don't add any measurable power to speak of, which is why no tune is required to take advantage of said increase in air or exhaust. So, yes...

Trump is what we call a Conservative (the Republican party generally are). Conservatives prefer to enact policies that allow people to protect what they've worked hard for, enable business to grow, and retain liberties and freedoms. Liberals like to take things away from those who work hard and...

    What vehicle do you drive?

Yup, stock. I've never tracked it and probably won't until May or June and driving enthusiastically isn't the problem. I don't ride or slip the clutch either. It's just a weak point in the design due to the combination of - underrated - HP/TQ and weight. The team that is fixing it now is...

    Car Buying Help

Bang for your buck, the base GTi will be a much better purchase than the R. At that price level, you could get a C6Z06 if you wanted speed and handling, or a Lexus LS if you wanted luxury. Otherwise, like others have stated, the VW brand has risen in cost with a few of their models, that isn't...
