If you're talking the meteors and his phase 2 transition slam, I think those are auto 1 shots, but people were getting one shot by some of his regular attacks

33 vigor is pretty high, I'm sure that most people struggling on him had lower and were getting one shot, but I wouldn't call 69 over leveled.

I've had the opposite experience going from straight sword to colossal great sword. I'm getting way more reliable stagger and stance breaks with even the basic attack.

You can clean the elements by heating them up while empty and spraying them with easy off, but only heat them to 160-200. Or get a generic caustic, mix with water, and do a boil out

Ranni isn't in the tower at all when the festival is going on, I checked and couldn't figure out why and even thought I was bugged. When I killed Radahn she showed back up and I was able to start the quest. She's not there during the festival because Blaidd is at the festival.

Ranni doesn't trigger the festival. In fact, I couldn't even start the Ranni quest because the festival started which means Bliadd is there.

They don't get consumed, they're more like applied to the weapon, and it can be taken off and re applied as many times as you want. You can only apply it to one weapon, and you duplicated them if you want the same ashe on two different weapons. Once applied they're just like any skill/spell that...

Used the regular straight sword all the way through, no special. I was going sword/board so relied on guard counters a lot. Was just being lazy and didn't try any ashes I might've liked. I did use summons though, but not mimic tear. Mostly wolves / skelly bros / mino archer

I've gotten three runes so far without using ashe of war outside of applying it for scaling purposes. Mostly melee with the holy bolt as supplemental range.

In the volcano area there's a bunch of guards after you climb up the ladder that's just before the broken bridge. They're all kneeling and dont react until you're on top of them. Quick easy clear for 5k runes

I agree. The problem is the first rune with +5 everything would have been OP to get that early. Its even strong well into the end game. They should think about nerfing them and making them passive

Stagger is when they get interrupted just briefly, stance break is when you hear that special noise and they fall on the ground.

Taking a break from my main play through to try a str 2h build. Knocking down and stance breaking things left and right, feels good man.

No reason not to give the beastial sanctum guy death root, its the only thing its good for.
