If area is too hard just come back. Check what stats are actually important, might for example effects all damage so a wizard with maxed might is the way to go for your glass cannon. First play through use the story characters, expansions are worth the money. Quick save constantly.

Made the mistake if playing something I don't normally play "sniper class" and getting wrecked by corvettes to a degree I don't want to play anymore due to how not fun it is. Will push on until I can buy a destroyer or trader class though.
