I laughed at them when they announced they want to revive world PvP. It's somehow working really great, especially the "steal yo mob" mechanism where you can jump on a group of players fighting some WQ rare mob at 10% hp, wipe them and get the kill while depriving them of it.
I've just tried it and it doesn't work : with full gear I'm at 336ilvl, with both rings stored in bank I'm still at 336 on the character sheet. Also with or without rings the mobs health stay the same (49870hp for a north Tiragarde fox) and damage is obviously way higher with rings equipped.
Westworld showrunners are Lisa Joy and his husband Jonathan Nolan, Christopher Nolan's brother. Jonathan Nolan wrote good stuff (Memento, The Prestige, Interstellar) and some very bad shit too (Person of Interest, Terminator Salvation).
Bought, installed, played, uninstalled, refunded within 2 hours. Combat gameplay is terrible, graphics are ugly and the game runs like shit. The only good thing is Steam refund within 20 minutes.
What's unprofessional is how their new "progression" Fresh Start server program is in fact sketchy as fuck. Of course there's a "phase contents and dates are subject to change" mention but you'd think at this point they'd have a lot of stuff figured out. XL Games, Archeage korean developer...
I don't undertansd that review, why does "lot of PvP" matter if the game is bad ? It's like saying "this swimming pool is filled with sharks but the water is warm". It's been known for months that combat gameplay is awful, engine is very bad and there's not much to do PvP wise besides 100v100...
Killing people, stealing their shit and see them going mad about it is probably the funniest thing ever in a sandbox MMO, besides politics drama. Especially when nowadays a lot of people playing MMOs like they're in a solo game. If you're alone running stealable valuables on your back, of course...
There's another example of how nonsensical are the relations between Trion (Archeage NA / EU publisher) and XL Games (Archeage korean developer) ; asian people complained about griefing / harassment regarding their input during trials, XL Games decided to make trial jury people anonymous. It's...
