I dont think anyone thinks the game is truly terrible. It's just that they could have done so much more with the setting. You could strip away 90% of the systems that they have in the game and it would make fuck all difference in how you play or complete the game.

For the most part, its tied to Cosmetics more than player power as far as I can tell. But if you're looking for your best bang for the buck - Anima Conductor (Grateful Offerings) > Mission Table (Leveling Characters) > Mini Game (Stacking up Use currency) > Travel Network (convenience).

Honestly, I did probably 70-80% of the game in the beginning Berzerker set before I did the Thor armor quests/puzzles. The only reason I did the Thor set is simply because I was tired of the God Awful look of the shoulders on that set.

Like many have said, its an adjustment to keep that in mind. The whole idea of "i gotta do it all!" has been pulled back from required and its kind of nice.
