I don't hate Eddings, but it's totally intro level fantasy and all of his characters are essentially trope archetypes dialed to 11. In fairness he wrote a lot of his stuff in the 80s before fantasy was nearly as popular as it became later so it didn't feel as blatant at the time especially as a...
I kind of feel like the series ended up being about the right number of books, but 7-10 needed pruning and the sanderson books needed expanding. The Perrin/Faile, and the Nynaeve/Elayne stuff in particular were, way, way too long.
It gets brought up pretty often well past them leaving home. Many times if one of them gets flustered around some female character they always pine over how one of the others would have handled it so much better.
Yeah, that trailer wasn't great. some of the sets seem pretty good, but the effects are real shitty. wonder if they're still working on them and this was rushed for the trailer.
I explained like 20 times before but some people seem to have a hard time understanding. The regular salary of a traded player goes to the new team, the old team is only on the hook for the prorated signing bonus. People were spouting off the cap hit if he was being cut. Cutting a player and...
yeah, even before the legal stuff, some of the trade rumors were out of control. stuff like miami being interested, but it was like stuff like 3-4 1sts, tua, Xavion Howard and other players. And it's not nothing taking on that contract.
There's an upper limit on what you can trade for any player. Like you can't just trade every good player on your roster and all the draft picks for the next 15 seasons even if it's Mahomes.
Just now watched the animated thing. Not bad, but not great either. I didn't feel like i particularly wasted 90 minutes of my life but I'll probably never watch it again.
i mean it was probably more like 8-10 days than a week, but 70 hours? that seems like twice as long as it takes me and I've never particularly thought that i'm a fast reader.
