Went to the movies with the fiancé yesterday to catch Game Night. Only seats available were eight feet from the screen. Refunded the tickets and still wanted to see a movie, so we opted for Jumanji. Went in with fairly low expectations, but came out glad things worked out the way they did...

Guess there’s two moments really:

Pretty low budget / indie shit. I know a lot of folks on the forums enjoyed "Resolution" and I ended up watching it on Netflix due to the talk here. That movie was fantastic. At the end the of day, I know it'll be better then fucking Justice League.....

I've been excited about this movie for a while and it comes out next month. It's the same guys that made Resolution and Spring. Very Lovecraftian looking. Really hope this gets a wide enough release so I can buy a ticket...

Pretty interesting workflow. Curious if there are other authors out there that write series in a similar fashion. Hopefully we'll get the next trilogy over a 3-4 year span.

When you get to Kovacs "making it personal" at the clinic, you'll appreciate the books a hell of a lot more then the show. The second book has even more action, and there's another pretty fucked up scene toward the end that makes you realize how badass Envoys are.

If you liked The Ritual, check out A Dark Song. Different type of movie, but solid indie horror. Only two actors with one location, and it’s excellent slow burn horror.
