You will have, at minimum, 3 characters if you beat it with your first. But there aren't any pay2win mechanics in the game. Well unless you get fuckscrewed and get the same character off the quest rewards.

I believe the most common way is to select "All Armor" then add the Elite Damage +20% and whatever else you want. You can't get good filters if you select Stone of Jordan.

I think it was mostly frowned upon in the MMO world because the Chinese farmers would annoy the fuck out of you and steal your spawns and be at prime farming locations 24/7. So the idea was if you didn't give them money they'd just go away.

I was playing last night and I managed to lure a huge pack of banes, maybe 20+, into the range of 4 widow mines. They all instantly died. This must be how Zergs feel when they bait marines over bane mines.
