Watching some demo streams this morning. Game looks good graphically, and the combat is way way faster than MHW / Rise, its like Nioh speed vs. big monsters. The streams were all PS5 in Performance mode, looked like a stable 60fps.

There should be a Trial/demo out tomorrow, Feb. 13th. Not sure which platforms, but it will launch on Feb. 16th.

There are a large number of repeated paintings throughout Hogwarts / Outside world. Best painting so far that I've seen was in a hallway, some young lady looking really happy to be rocking out on a mandolin, along with other musicians.

All the Bandit Camps I've cleared show 1/1 Collection Chests, so yea, I got those. Its the more elaborate Dungeons where I'm seeing the 0/1, like Korro Ruin (?), Dale Family Tomb, Horklump Hollow, etc.

So what is the deal with these Dungeons (not the small Treasure Vaults)? I've cleared several now, and after killing and looting everything, the world map shows "0/1 Collection Chests". Do they respawn after a certain amount of time? I assumed they were all once and done.

Dark Arts Battle Arena is really fun.

Turned off capped in Balanced, then brought up the game optimizer overlay. Showed vrr on (no mention of gsync (but thats enabled:emoji_nose:, and 119fps. Started running around while the overlay was showing, and fps would fluctuate from a low of 52 up to a high of 74 (out in a open field).

Doesn't matter because -they- control Disney now.

Missed the point, I think. I linked the vid just to show the vast difference in art / animation. The only thing about AoC that interests me at all, is being able to explore the gameworld they've made. Everything else just seems really drab.

Its because your Protego is "purple", so a dark wiz could be casting some counter to that, afaik.

When fighting Trolls that toss rocks at you, Protego it, but don't counter. The rock will become usable via R1 for a nice chunk of dmg to the Troll. Merlin Trials challenge track seem to give 4 inventory slots per completion (at least the first one gave 4).

My C2 shows 120fps / vrr on, my receiver supports HDMI 2.1 as well, while on performance mode. Though the 120 fps is a lie, as it showed the same on fidelity and balanced (uncapped)... I think it's just showing the refresh rate.

There is no way a PS5 is running on fidelity out in the open areas and being fine. To me fine would equal the performance of Ghost of Tsushima on a PS4 pro..butter smooth and not caring that it was 30fps. I'll check out fps capped fidelity and balanced, but not expecting much.

The final dueling match is kinda lame, its basically 1v4, and the opponents scale up to whatever lvl you are and have about 3x+ hp. I can see why Asmon got mad at it, lol.
