Having the worst luck on PC compared to PS4 in terms of getting upgraded tools / ships. All the planets I've visited so far, after the very first, have all offered up tools with one less slot than what I am using, same with ships (crashed), ships on stations are still random +/-.

To save, just interact with the flagpole at any planetary complex, or the game will save automatically whenever you exit your ship (might need to take off / land first).

To add to what Hodj mentioned. On planets, look for the orange beams of light that shoot up from the ground, sometimes they are alone, other times they are in a little complex. If you have the recipe for making a Bypass Chip (easy to make; plutonium / iron), make a few and go to the orange light...

Yea, pets are really cool. They are also one, and maybe the only, source for the Omegon material....feed them, follow them around and hope they poop it out for you. You need 50 Omegon to install the rank 3 jet pack upgrade, so its something to look for. Got jumped by a Sentinal Walker today...

Finally got my Suit inventory max'd out, now to work on getting up to 20mil units to buy a good ship. Also need to find a multi-tool with more slots. All the tools I found today were 12 slots, across 3 systems. Sucked. Running around on planets with Extreme weather + Frenzied Sentinals can...

Just farm up whatever resource seems to be selling at a +% either on the planet or at the space station. Later on you'll find planets that have ground items that you can run around and pick up (unstackable though) which go for 25k+ each, so search for all those Drop Pods while you're running...

It should run fine, though you will be able to adjust the settings upwards from what the PS4 can do, and I've only noticed a couple dips in framerates.

One of the best QoL additions that came with the April update was a change to item upgrading, when you upgrade your 300 item with a 310, the item will become 310. That one change made raising your light level so much easier.
