All the Elminster books are fine as stand alones. And that one had a lot of stuff that just I never really seen in lore books or moduals which was cool. But I wouldn't have expected anything less from Ed Greenwood. The man's a fucking legend.

Lore wise. I'm a big 4e nerd soooooo. The Plane Below also The Plane Above. I'd also recommend some of the Erevis Cale books. And without a doubt, Elminster in Hell.

The d&d community is the nerdiest community. And you don't screw with nerds and their games/collectibles. That being said the quality of the wizkidz d&d minis are fucking trash. I've taken to scooping up tons of the old 3.5 and 4e minis. Just cause I like that aesthetic the most.

So I keep seeing these "perfect bound reprints" of old dnd books on ebay. The description always say wizards approved or some BS. But all I see are blurry messes thst aren't much cheaper then the originals lol

Yeh FG looks great when I see videos. But like I sat down at 6pm to set up for a 10pm game. I was like yeh I don't have time for this right now lol. And just never came back to it.

Yeh I've tried to fiddle with using the online stuff. Never liked any of it at all. During covid lockdown I ended up playing with my friends on zoom. And I'd just put my camera onto the map or dungeon I'd make on the tsble next to me. And we'd all roll actual dice. And it was so much better lol

I wish they would make better quality minis. Wizkids has gone down the shitter. The old wizards prepainted ones from the early 2000s looked better. But none of this blind booster pack nonsense. Just sell sets. The old wizards minis were 8 for $10. Now it's 4 for $20.

I wanted to do wood runners since the Dwarven forge stuff was going to get really heavy. The drawers are 24x24. And I've never done wood runners before so I gave it whirl.
