I have both a Vita and a 3DS and I mean unless you are into niche JRPGs it would be pretty hard to recommend it. I actually get a lot of use out of it but I knew what was coming for it ahead of time. Not sure about the controls being "meh", love having the second analog stick.

You can get a Nintendo refurb for $200. From everything I've read about the refurbs they look practically brand new and you get a 1 year warranty.

Yeah, LH switched their animation to studio Deen, which is notoriously bad. Deen did the animation for the first Fate/Stay night anime a few years back and yeah, you can see the difference between them and ufotable heh.
