I suspect a lot of Republicans have always been here, just the climate here wasn't as favorable to admit to it openly. Prison Planet links and the 4chan bullshit stuff go unchallenged now, where in the past people would be ridiculed for posting that stuff. Even so, the majority doesn't seem to...
I'm out of the loop -- how did this place become so hysterical over SJWs and stuff anyway? It's like 4chan took over, and everyone on the board is the crazy relative that constantly forwards stupid bullshit.
(I posted under the name Laladilya back on fohguild -- I drew Millie pictures, failed...
I mostly watch educational stuff. It'd take too long to list all of them.
Video Game-ish stuff:
Ahoy - lengthy documentaries on older games (e.g. Quake, Doom, etc).
Gaming Historian - video game history mostly focused on consoles
Classic Game Junkie - explains how certain technical barriers...
I have all mine in a box somewhere but the early issues are in bad shape (I subscribed to it from the SMB3 issue till Pokemon Snap).
Hopefully someone links this on GameFAQs so people there can see what a coherent map actually looks like.
I've mainly only used Blender. It probably has the largest overall feature-set, but its notoriously shitty default keybindings make it frustrating to learn/teach and hold it back a lot. If you can get past it though, it does virtually everything: modeling, uv unwrapping, texture paint...
The part you're talking about where Alexandria falls happens early on disc 3, and shortly after that is where I feel it loses a lot of momentum. You get a boat and start doing a bunch of forgettable tasks, then you get an airship and do more forgettable tasks, then you actually get the airship...
I like it a lot more than I thought I would, but I can see why some people don't.
For me it didn't really pick up until you start running into the Black Waltz guys. Around that point the character development ramps up and most of the cast is surprisingly charming and well written for a Final...
I've been playing all the mainline Final Fantasy games on my Emulation System, because the only two I ever originally finished was 4 and 6.
So far I went through:
- FF1 (Origins)
- FF4 (NDS version)
I just finished 9 last week, and I haven't decided which I'll play next.
Here are a bunch of notes I originally made for a few friends trying to set up their own Emulation system (both gave up because they're computer newbs). I went back over it and cleaned/updated a few things. I think the average person here is probably more technically inclined than my friends...
I use "No-Intro" roms for carts. They take the best known dump of each cart and don't have duplicates, homebrew, or hacks mixed in. Archive.org has the no-intro sets so you don't even have to go to shady places to get them.
For disc systems I use "Redump" roms.
I'm using bsnes which runs Star Fox (as well as the entire commercial SNES library), but system requirements might be too steep for a Raspberry Pi.This sitehas a emulator comparison chart for accuracy and various other info.
Either way, Star Fox isn't a big deal. I mostly just want one to be...
Rise from your grave!
I've been playing with Retroarch and figured it was worth posting about; especially for anyone else with a HTPC type setup. It's an absolute pain in the ass to configure, but is pretty slick when you do. They take Open Source emulators strip them of their UI and stuff...
If the average consumer were to buy one of those System76 computers with Ubuntu preinstalled I don't think they would have a terribly difficult time with it -- not anymore than they'd have with Windows 8 anyway. It has a Software Center for installing things, and most of what that type of user...
I wish I had kept better track of my toys as a kid. I had Skorponok, which was one of the big base Transformers. Last time I looked they were going for like $300. I also had Diplodocus from Dino-Riders which also can sell in the $300 range. I had damn near all the He-Man and a ton of Ninja...
I generally get around 90-110 wpm on Typeracer. Needing to correct slows me down a lot. On10FastFingersyou don't need to correct and I usually get around 120 wpm and have gotten into 130s a few times.
Hereis one for coders too. Even on Python with light syntax, I only get like 40wpm.
I don't care about the popularity contest aspect. I just liked them because it was refreshing to see a team do well that wasn't stacked with players that only learned how to dunk so they could get on Sports Center.
Frankie is the only one I watch. He has a cool voice, and his videos play out like movies. The Altis Life one awhile back where they get harassed by the cops and by the end have a rebel army bankrolling their equipment to wreck the cops shit is hilarious.
Apparently, the original Robocop was going to have "liquid smooth" movement, but they had trouble achieving that because of the suit. Not sure if that necessarily means it would be a ninja or not though. Peter Weller talks about it in this video:
Dubb01, was the guy that did the commissions/Magelo profiles;here is his DeviantArt, but I don't think any of the old FOH stuff is on it. I'm not sure if he ever made the transition to Rerolled or not.
I did the Millie/Dark Millie stuff.
No robot dog yet, but one of the stretch goals hit was a "support character." Rush would be kind of redundant since Beck (main character) can already transform. It wouldn't surprise me if they did give him a dog anyway given the fan service of the other designs.
Normally the ad revenue on their channel goes to them -- for some of the bigger ones it's their primary source of income even. For Nintendo games, it'll funnel to Nintendo instead. So, I'd just assume people would be like the dude in the article and just LP non-Nintendo games instead.
That's a bit of a weird concept to generate revenue off what is basically word of mouth free advertising. I suspect it will probably just lead to people not doing speed-runs and Let's Plays of Nintendo games.
Duke Nukem 3D
Unreal Tournament ('99)
I'd spend just as much time messing with the level editors for them as I did playing them. I still havethis bookfor editing Doom levels.
