NFL 2017-18: Watch athletes destroy their brains

The argument is he was bobbling/ball was moving or sliding in his hands during him originally having feet in bounds, thus doesn't actually have control at that point (would be same thing if ball was tipped up while feet were in, but by the time receiver actually hauled the tipped ball in, they...

Barnwell did a good breakdown of the Pats' D, and how protected they were by their offense. They were like 31st ranked D in DVOA rankings, but he was comparing how many actual drives against they faced over the course of the season, versus Jacksonville's defense, and he found that Jax D...

Good for the Niners. I am extremely interested to see what they do in the draft to get him some weapons to throw the ball to. I'm sure Lynch won't neglect the D, either.

Flacco not really able to be cut currently. Joe Flacco Even if they wait 2 more years to cut him in 2020, still $8m of dead cap that year. Possible, but still probably 3 years away. As I noted above, Dalton only has $2.4m in dead money if you cut him this year, so he can be cut.

I love my NFL and NHL...although I'd say currently the replay problem is actually worse in the NHL with the ridiculous offside challenges taking goals off the board. They tried to reduce it by giving a team that incorrectly challenges that a penalty to discourage so many, but still just see...

I get what you're saying about precedent in general...but that doesn't actually apply to almost every catch b/c they're all slightly different situations, rarely is each one going to be the exact same potential issues happening at the exact same time throughout two different catch scenarios...

Him wanting the US Census data was interesting. I assume they're trying to get data on what % of the overall population was wiped out by the pandemic.

The ball can move and still not be a loss of control. When a guy completely has both hands off the ball to then re-grip it, that's when I think people have a case. If he doesn't get 2 feet in bounds after getting hands back on the ball, by current rules it would be incomplete.

Makes me wonder if there isn't some other secret way, or if they're all just worried about factions popping up trying to dominate both worlds. You already have one that has been devastated (seemingly at least) by a pandemic, so trust will be low. One could easily suspect the other of giving...

The final TD I agree. The earlier one frankly I thought was worth a look, and I'm still not positive according to current rules if they got it right. Collinsworth was loving him some Pats last night, but he had plenty of room in his mouth for Foles' cock as well...along with Pederson's...think...

NFL 2017-18: Watch athletes destroy their brains

There's ball moves a little "loss of control" and, I had both hands off the ball and had to re-grip with both of my hands, loss of control. You could definitely see that on the replay. Now if it was about not being able to definitively see if he tapped part of the one foot in bounds before...

So this is the new controversy? Should Eagles have been flagged for illegal formation on Foles' TD catch? Frankly, if it's a judgement call, I'm glad they didn't flag it. Shit like this would just be too much.

Yeah that seemed strange. Although when you think about it, if they had some sort of pandemic, good chance a lot of their scientific research went towards understanding how whatever disease that killed so many was attacking their cells/genes in an effort to solve it. Very interesting idea...

NFL 2017-18: Watch athletes destroy their brains

They gave up a shit ton of yards and were poor in DVOA ranking, but they had the 5th best scoring defense in the league. A lot of that is because of how great their offense is at protecting their D, plus they have good special teams so their defense didn't face a lot of short fields. Probably...

NFL 2017-18: Watch athletes destroy their brains

He was clearly a runner, so didn't matter, soon as he breaks the plane, it was a TD. I'll be honest though, the other catch rule one I thought maybe should have been incomplete by current rules. Looked like he had to re-grip the ball and one foot landed slightly in the white after that. But...

Pats lost game in which they didn't punt once. That's pretty much all you need to know about their D. They really need to find some help there.

NFL 2017-18: Watch athletes destroy their brains

Have to disagree here, not on the he was a runner part, think he clearly was, but the ball clearly contacted the ground before it popped out...so had he been ruled not a runner and going to the ground in the process of making the catch, it would have been incomplete by rule...even if the rule IS...

Didn't see much actual pass interference. If that was pass interference, Kaepernick and 49ers would have had 4 more shots from inside the 5 after the obvious hold on 4th and goal in that Super Bowl. Eagles did get 2 "catch" rule calls in their favor. The first one I thought was more suspect...
