Ran around a bit over the weekend and it seems more active than the last time I played a couple years ago. Maybe it's just the server wide LFF and Trade channels making it seem that way but there's activity at the top end. And it looks like it's been getting releases according to the dev forum...
The thing I learned from watching his stream is that one shouldn't eat pringles on stream, especially if that person is prone to getting their hand stuck in the can.
If I have time it'd be Wizard, Enchanter or Necro. Enchanters will probably be over represented again but I love crowd control in vanilla EQ. Necromancer is the only class I haven't played so it'd be fun to do something different. We'll see, won't know until they announce the release date.
I didn't like it at the beginning, but by the end of the campaign I loved it. My only real complaint is the way they keep switching the slots of the close up and long range weapons during the campaign. Didn't really mess with the MP.
I wanted a space kick this weekend so I played Space Marine and Force Unleashed instead of buying Mass Effect. Both had better animations, settings and stories than Andromeda.
Bioware has set the bar so low this year that if she delivers a decent 10-15 hours I'll be happy. At least we know the game will look good. All they have to do is plug a half assed adventure into Dice's excellent engine.
The normal open world spawns of the original game are still in place and are a source of competition. The instances are extra dungeons that are spawned from and entered through a NPC outside the zone. For example, the Vox instance NPC is standing around outside permafrost near the ice giant camp.
I have the original and I'm just going to keep playing that. Beamdog just seems like bottom feeders inserting their political ideologies in beloved classics to me. But who knows, if Avellone really was involved maybe it'll be ok.
There are a couple times during the 20 minutes I spent watching the ending where I was laughing so hard I was crying at the animation, scenario and dialogue combination. It was schlock B movie bad. If it didn't take so long I'd be tempted to play it for the lulz when it's under 10$. I think I'll...
I did an all day charm session at juggs finishing off 60 after drinking a bottle of redline. Then spent the next few days sick. I'm to old for that shit.
Man, if this fell around some time off I'd be tempted. The only reason I could hang with you guys for a little while last time was that release fell on some holiday break time.
Watched the rest of that Twitch stream. The combat looked mediocre, and the guy playing it said as much. Maleryder looked like a lanky overgrown dwarf in the cut scenes. He just doesn't quite look human. They also went through the character creator for a bit. It's not just femryder that looks...
I've been playing that stamina sorcerer build and it's pretty fast paced, but if I get sloppy on the rotation I can die fast. Probably going to go back to a magic at some point not that I'm 50 and working on champion points.
The writing is why Bioware games used to be an automatic buy for me. From what I've seen of these reviews I'm not going to bother playing Andromeda unless I can pick it up for 5$ and I'm really bored. Which may never happen because I have a huge backlog of good/decent games that just keeps growing.
That trailer was uninspiring and those model proportions look freakish. The Mass Effect 2/3 models may not be realistic but they look good and the portray attitude of the characters well.
Looks like Eidos Montreal and Crystal Dynamix are both working on a Marvel Avengers game. I'm kinda sick of the Marvel universe.
Marvel, Square Enix Studios Team for 'The Avengers Project'
This is on sale at GOG for 3 more days with some other good games. Debating picking it up but will prolly pass til the summer sales since I'm trying to working through Wasteland 2 right now.
Pillars of Eternity, The Witcher 3, Shadow Warrior 2, Darkest Dungeon and more up to -90%
I think PeeBee is the dumbest character name I've ever heard. I thought the name was a joke when you told me and didn't realize it was the actual name until I saw it on the BioWare twitter feed. The price I'm willing to pay for this game is dropping.
Tried this again over the weekend after not playing it since console release. I wasn't sure what I thought about 'One Tamriel' when it was announced but I'm liking the change. I don't miss worrying about being in an area too long because everything is under level. We tried a random dungeon queue...
The Rollins interview was good. People like that live in their own world. Rogan started a new podcast from the basement of The Comedy Store with the other comics that are just hanging around. It's not bad if you like JRE.
