Strike bosses have certain specific rewards you can grind for.

The strike specific scout rifle isnt bad really - youre better off running strikes non stop than back pedaling.

Hinterlands is the chokepoint for most at the start. I felt the same way until i finally left that place then the game went full awesome ahead. Personally i love this and Witcher 3, the only thing i like far better is the melee combat in Witcher 3 - it totally eclipses the melee atrocity of DAI.
