Not that I'm surprised but every scene is woke. In Season 1 only 1-2 episodes had the Message in it. I heard that's the way the game story is, and it should heat up mid-season.

Exactly. The space between the good stuff comes off as an insult to the audience. What is supposed to be big moments comes off as cheap and tacky. I gave it 4-5 episodes and should have stuck to my guns of giving it none.
