    Battlefield 6

The Finals is my go to atm, because it's light enough to play casually and drop in and out of going at it hardcore depending on my mode. Pretty much only playing new mode, which is battlefield's rush, so scratches the team based fps I prefer

    Arc Raiders

fair point. I play solo because that's my preference, and thus miss out of those things. I tend to play boardgames when I want those things. Thus the tasks are required in order to do the same content over and over, without which I would have consumed all the content tens of hours ago, since...

Looks like the game is discouted atm too!

    Arc Raiders

feels like this game is a victim of it's own success. They must be scrambling to get up to speed with a better content pipeline but I don't think they're there yet. Having finished the decks and maxed out levels and expedition prep, doesn't feel like there's anyhthing to do for the next month or so.

    The Running Man

I enjoyed it but I was a fan of the novel before the arnie version It follows the book far closer, but really does fall apart at the end. I can see fans of the arnie version being very disappointed, much the way I felt with the total recall reboot, but it's a bit unfair to compare the two. I...

    The Finals (fps)

New season and new stuff, etc etc I alternate playing this and bf6 for my fps fix. The Finals has far better environment destruction, but is small scale stuff. I mostly play power shift, the most team v team mode they have, though the new one this season could be a contender too (it's basically...

    All Her Fault

I don't think the empty middle episodes is limited to just this show. I think it's endemic to most 8-12 episode mystery style shows these days. The setups are usually interesting enough, and the conclusions / twists at the end. but there have nothing in the middle while you're waiting between...

    Battlefield 6

I wish console players started mute. Why do they think we want to hear their domestics, babies crying, farts, burbs, random TVs in the background, etc

    All Her Fault

This show is so unbelievable. How can anyone think it's chicago?! at one point there was a tram in the background!

    Stargate SG-1

The biggest problem is how they can recapture the magic of Richard Dean Anderson. He was so core the success of SG1 imo. Atlantis didn't really achieve it, though Flanigan, McKay and to some degree Jason Momoa were good enough. SGU never even came close

    Battlefield 6

new map feels very undwhelming. it's just another close quarters map imo. I was hoping for something on the scale of caspian border.

    Europa Universalis V

I have thousands of hours in Eu4 but I keep getting paralysed and overwhelmed when I load this one up. Every quick start guide seems to be an hour long or longer. Need to find one that details what to be doing before unpausing and how to handle the first 20 or 50 years until I can get a handle...

Soccer 2022–2023 (EPL, La Liga, etc)

Love seeing Madrid lose and love it even more when we're the ones who do it. Was nice to see it was a dominent performance, and not a lucky result. If we continue the trend against City I might start hoping we've turned the corner.

    Spartacus: House of Ashur

as long as they don't go the 'it's all a dream' crap, or 'his vision of life flashes before his eyes as he actually dies' then I'll be... well , not happy, but at least not rage inducingly annoyed.

only a few days to go. Must admit that I'm still nervous about it. it looks and sounds too much like victoria3, which I played and mostly enjoyed but didn't suck me in in the same way EU4 did.

    Anno 117: Pax Romana

kinda interested in this, but given I haven't played more than 30 min of anno 1800, I'm guessing I should wait until it's on sale to pick it up and not play it either.

    Battlefield 6

haven't tried battle royal, and not overly interested in it, but the Gauntlet mode seems cool. more focus on obj play.

    Battlefield 6

obviously hyperbole to say this is why it's sold what it has, but details matter. They fact you don't consciouly notice them, pretty sure I haven't in 100 hours of play, doesn't mean they're irrelevant. They just add to the feeling of immersion.

streamers releasing info about the season and the new maps. Have to say they look pretty good. Still not big enough, but it's a step in the right direction. Looking forward to giving them a try

    Battlefield 6

I'm sure there's bugs, but I haven't encountered any game breaking ones. God knows, this is the best BF launch I can remember. I almost miss the extreme rubber banding that was for the first week of bf3/4

    Battlefield 6

Try the run and gun recon style. Claymores for easy kills, tugs to help choke points and objectives, and recon drone for easy points and good tactical help for the team.

I do find the premise a little unbelievable. As if we're supposed to believe a real athlete would drop the ball before crossing in the end zone. preposterous.
