Best season 1 of anime I've ever seen. Fuck you fight me. Not a single drop in animation quality, S tier story telling, S tier world building. S tier characters. Only bad part is we have to wait god knows how many fucking years for a season 2 now.

None of it amounts to anything because they're evenly matched. Frieren's clone would probably have taken out every other candidate in mere seconds. The clone was ultimately taken out because it was a 2v1 capitalizing on Frieren's 'weakness' with magic detection while casting.

So when frieren said good job fern it's been 80 yrs since I used that spell.....she was talking about the notaspell that the clone casted right? Or am I tripping?

This was honestly one of the best anime season for me in a while. I had more anime to watch than time, which is a good problem to have.

I know it's been said before but Faraway paladin season 2 is fucking good. From the art to the story, just A+ shit.
