Level Sync was alive and well. Additionally, the Guildhests let you take a group and just grind/regrind leve-type quests. It's not the best xp, but if you've done all the story in an area, it's faster than grinding. Between FATEs, Hunts, and Levequests, I was able to get my Gladiator to 8...
