Like I said, Eddings and all the 80s writers were writing when most of that stuff wasn"t cliche because there wasn"t much of it around. It was forgivable back then but not now. And as a sidenote, Tor needs to hurry up and release more of Erikson"s novels in the states.

Besides working for WOTC? Well, he killed Chewie too. Ignoring my own jokes though, he isn"t exactly the most original or able of authors and hasn"t written a good novel for a very long time. Just more of the same over and over with invincible characters that keep coming back to life.
