I wonder what kind of odds you could have gotten betting that the Pac 12 would collapse before the Big 12 two years ago when UT and OU announced their intention to join the SEC.

So, I have a question.

If a conference is called Big 12 and big 10, does that not denote the number of schools in the conference? Should the conferences change their names again?

Too much value in the original names; why change them if they are so recognizable?
