Running hurricane maps trying to race to first wave caches for blueprints sucks. That’s all.
Edit: maybe posting helped. First run after doing so I found a cache and got tempest BP. I’ve heard everyone talking about canto, but I’m assuming this is good? I’m so new still I have no clue.
Most of the epic weapons except like Bettina are a bit better now because the gray and green guns got a little bit of a nerf. Up until the addition of the new gun, medium didn't really have a good automatic, i havn't messed w/ it, seems like new one pretty much requires mag 3 and lv 4 because of limited capacity. I think the tempest base price is higher but you can get away without upgrading it to the gills.
It's all risk/reward, the game is good about those too timid to run big dick stuff can still do just fine to great running like a toro/anvil or ferro. A lot of the guns are kinda niche, like the renegade being a really solid mid range sniper, but needs a cool hand up close, janky reload if you manage to blow through upgrades 18 rounds or whatever.
As far as legendary, imo the best is jupiter, great rocketeer sniper, equilizer for queen crabs stripping legs, aphelion kinda just ass. Drawback is needing queen/matriarch cores.
If you do nothing but pve, and start getting those lobbies, mostly doesn't matter too much other than the rare time you get a pvp ganker. Helps if your on US servers, apparently euro have much more traitorous rats. If you like to pvp some of the choices get a little more dynamic. But imo pve eventually gets old when you have everything done. Though I'm excited for the new map mode just no time.
Use metaforge website for trading, it's very hand to get a few select recipies you might not have, though usually might need to sell some stuff to have enough seeds or a desirable BP to trade for what you want. Looting mk 3 survivor is probably the best overall rig in most cases. A few important explosives/guns and the ability to make the various weapon parts is all you really need.
