Well, a 6th package has just blown up. 7:15pm tonight, about 45 minutes ago.

Details will be edited. Happened at a strip center at a goodwill. Seems like this needs its own thread at this point.

Sixth explosion reported at southwest Austin Goodwill, one injured

The Fedex explosion package originated at a drop off location very close to where this explosion happened.

Edit: It's been reported that the package was dropped off in the donation bin at the goodwill. WTF.

A lot of this shit recently is in the Sunset Valley area. The one on Mar 18th was in Sunset Valley, also that's where the fedex drop off occured that went to Schertz. Additionally, they said that the package that was at the airport sorting facility came from the same location. This latest one on Brodie is also pretty damn close to Sunset Valley. We're talking about a super teeny tiny suburb area.

5601 Brodie Lane is the location of the Fedex drop off. And 9801 Brodie is where this latest one went off.

Shit is getting real. This is kinda insane.

This whole story makes me anxious , any lunatic can decide to maim a bunch of people and terrorize a whole city. Did anyone claim responsibility yet or police/FBI still have no clue whats going on?

When I worked in Schertz the VP of operations wife worked in Austin with the state in water rights somehow. There was someone who placed mysterious packages outside their office on a regular basis and they had to have the police remove them for fear of a bomb. I think someone called in threats related to it. I guess eventually it stopped cause they would get 1/2 a day off when it happened.

Or the guy spent 5 minutes on the internet and knows how to make a variety of ied's.

Seems too coincidental at this point.

I heard the first ones were like a pressure cooker device, is this true?

I've not heard that. They said something about them having some kind of pressure switch. What's really weird was the first 3 bombs hit 3 houses who were all connected it was the trip wire one that changed that theory

This whole thing reminds me of the DC snipers. Probably because of the rapid escalation of random terror.

Not long after 9/11 my workplace started receiving bomb threats. After the second one, we had FBI agents at our guard shack and you had to get out of the car so they could search it. After the third threat they noticed they were all coming in during D shift. On the fourth one, they caught the guy. He was a temp employee, the reason for the threats he gave was he didn't feel he got adequate breaks. Every time one got called in we all had to sit in the parking lot for a couple hours while the building was searched.

And that's my only bomb story.
