Automata

The first thing I thought of was Penny Arcade's short comicAutomata. There's multiple pages, so click through if you want to read the whole thing. I don't think they're related at all though, just in name.

This movie definitely looks interesting though.

yeah looks like a tweak of asimov's rules, AI, and blade runner but done on the cheap. I recommend the movie The Machine, similar UK indie movie that was basically the same idea and pretty decent

Melanie Griffith looks horrendous in this one though, she shoulda been the robot

I was wondering who was that 'visionary film maker' Gabe Ib??ez and he only made one feature film in 2009 and work as an animator on 4... I am not saying he is not good or anything, just that the visionary did not share his vision much up until now.
