I thought the same thing when I started watching P:R videos. Modded BF2 engine for both - can't expect too much.
With Squad/Insurgency doing well I hope they give someone the itch to make a 2142 knockoff free from EA's control and modding restrictions. FPS's are in desperate need of quality market competition.

Doesn't seem to run for shit, maybe it's me running it on 1920x1200 and I should try not widescreen. (Noticed it had a wide screen support from the launcher)
Servers I tried seemed laggy + froze video inside a titan but still alive able to fire etc.
Shame as this was my favorite bf for running with a "tactical/teamplay" server.
