Well, the game is in a shit storm right now. SLS promised a battle royale-type mode to bring back people to the game months ago. Couple of days ago they announce that the battle royale mode will be a separate, paid for game. People are up in arms.
I don't blame SLS for trying to distance themselves from Battlerite since most people won't want to come back to a "dead game" even it has a new gimmick but trying to make it paid for was a bad idea. They should have gone F2P with some limited edition skin packs or some garbage like but I think they went full retard.
If they're smart they will back track. SLS has put out a couple of good games but nobody wants to play them which is sad.
