Looks like Rob Roy but with lots more potatoes. Came out a few months ago but I didn't catch it till I read a review recently. Decent historical revenge/action thing.

As the great Louis C.K. has mentioned, being Black in '47 would have been a pretty bad experience.

It's a decent watch if you like period dramas.

Even if you're not into period dramas much it's a great revenge film. It's a great historical piece too; pretty much the best film about the Irish potato famine I've seen.

Pretty sad reminder of a time when Brits were terrifyingly competent, as opposed to today, when that's only true IN MOVIES.

I will literally watch anything Hugo Weaving is in so I will have to look for it, never heard of it until now.

I have not seen Mortal Engines or whatever that recent flop Hugo is in as the bad guy, but I will. I will.

He was waaaay better in this than in Mortal Engines, though I wouldn't necessarily call him a bad guy. In fact, he more or less serves the same role as Jeff Bridges' character in Hell or High Water, which is probably the best comparison for this movie.
