While all censorship can get fucked, the people trying to censor on behalf of the all-knowing federal government are worse than the people trying to censor on behalf of their religious preference. Only one of those groups has the ability to continuously give itself (and its chosen business allies) greater powers to censor, the other has to convince the people to democratically vote them into power to enact their censorship.

I used to think these corporations were just incredibly mismanaged, but with so much money being thrown around, I find it hard to believe somebody sits in a board room and comes up with this shit without getting laughed at by investors and stakeholders. Somebody's selling out hard.
Then again if its anything I've been wrong more consistently on in my life its underestimating the stupidity of people.
