So this was officially announced today with the starting shows being Titans, live-action Swamp Thing, Young Justice: Outsiders, and an R-rated Harley animated cartoon.

Sounds like a bunch of crap I wouldn't even watch if it was free.

Will torrent Young Justice and Swamp Thing. Maybe Harley Quinn if it gets decent reviews. Won't subscribe to anything other than the big three aggregates.

I don't know how DC thinks it has enough content to justify its own service.
I don't know how DC thinks it will get enough subs to pay for even these couple exclusives..

With Marvel pulling out of Netflix, I would have thought DC would have had some bargaining power with them.

I agree this isn't a lot of content, and none of it falls into the must watch category...for me at least. I wonder what the pricing will be like.

Given the Press Release they put out I expect this is more than just a streaming service. I would expect it to include an All-Access 'Spotify' type model for ebook versions of comics.

Premieres Friday, January 4th
The nascent streaming service's second scripted original is actually a continuation of the Young Justice animated series that aired on Cartoon Network from 2010-2013. One new episode streams each Friday until January 25th, when four new episodes stream. (The series will then go on hiatus until June.)
