I know, Discord bot game lol.
It’s been 1 week since the servers went live for my multiplayer Zombies vs Survivors Discord bot game, inspired by games like Urban Dead and All Out Hell. I wanted to share some updates on what’s new and how things are shaping up so far.
The game is free to play and is playable through Discord. All you have to do is join the server at the link below and use the /create command to get started.
This is a faction-based game where you choose to play as either a survivor or a zombie. The challenge is to work with your team to outmaneuver the opposing faction and take over the city. The systems I’ve built are designed to make teamwork within your faction critical.

Game Highlights
- Survivors and zombies each have cooperative mechanics:
- Survivors pool resources, repair infrastructure, and train skills.
- Zombies coordinate attacks, gather anima and destabilize survivors’ progress.
- Each side have NPCs that help the faction: NPC zombies attack barricades, ruin buildings while NPC survivors help restock overrun building supplies.
- Survivors have 20+ skills to train; zombies get 10 unique abilities and 8 faction powers.
- Over 250+ items to scavenge, defend, or destroy.
- Teamwork is key. Faction-based systems reward players for working together.
- Built for the casual. Actions run on a stamina system, so you can hop in for a few minutes, make meaningful progress, and never feel like you’re falling behind.
- NPC Survivors: Zombie players now have NPC survivors to hunt! These aren’t just brain fodder. Some will actively work against you, like restocking supplies in buildings to help player survivors.
- Anima System: When zombies kill survivors (NPCs or players), they now gain anima — the life force of their victims. Zombies can spend anima at Animus Wells, found in ruined buildings, to unlock new powers like stronger attacks, barricade-breaking boosts, or defense buffs. Ruining buildings spawns these wells, so zombies have a clear incentive to wreak havoc.
- Survivors are fortifying key buildings while zombies carve out their own territory.
- Survivors discovered 1 of 5 DNA codons needed to develop the cure for zombification.
- 136 zombies have been killed.
- 300+ items found.
- 20% of the downtown district is ruined.
- 20% of buildings have been barricaded.
