Facebook Spearfishing attempts

I've been getting a crazy high number of Spearfishing attempts on my facebook lately. Has this been going around a lot?

Is the source some idiot who friended me and they themselves were compromised?

Facebook deletes the accounts but it's getting constant, at one point they genuinely tried to Spearfish me by creating a fake account with my family member as their alias.

I'm more concerned with the extreme targeting, I wouldn't care if it seemed like standard pishing.

Also Facebook is convenient, kind of.

No application is really as good as it was anymore, they've all been over engineered to be practically worthless, but conceptually at least a Facebook/Myspace is convenient.
