FINAL FANTASY TACTICS - The Ivalice Chronicles includes two different versions of the game: enhanced and classic. The enhanced version adds fully voiced dialogue, an optimized and updated UI, graphical improvements, and a number of other quality of life features. The classic version unites the graphics and gameplay of the original game with the renowned War of the Lions translation and includes convenient features such as auto save.

I always wanted a sequel that was the same story but told from Delita's perspective but this is probably fine.

So they...added voices and some phone game type UIs?

These companies sure are good at selling people things they already have.

Collector's Edition and reference to physical game
It’s available to buy with the game, which is not packaged inside the box, but will be shipped together.

Anyone who hasn't played the War of the Lion version definitely owes it to themselves to play it somehow or another.

I gave it a go but I was still turbo burned out from FFT and didn't get far. Final Fantasy Tactics is another game that I put a bajillion hours in to and left myself absolutely nothing left to do.

I figure this will launch with a 59.95 price tag like the Tactics Ogre remake and it'll be a couple years before the price dips enough for me to be able to justify buying it.

They tried to give the game an epilogue in the raid series in FF14 that was based on this + FF12 during Stormblood

it bottles the mind that they coudln't release a follow up of this series (the DS games don't count) all this time. just the general genre suicide we've seen over the years is just retarded.

Well. Ok I don't really want to defend SE on this debacle, but there is some precedence.

1st: Delita is fatally stabbed (and fatally stabs) the princess. The royal progression is absolutely fubar. Ramza kills most of the possible people who would be interested in the throne. And then exits to an alternate dimension in order to free his sister. There is literally nobody else in charge from a player standpoint for the games to continue in the same universe. It's literally just rando families who kind of grasp power but are absolutely not some massive thing. Ramza literally kills several heads of house, while Delita does the rest.

2nd: During the buildup, you destabilize several countries. Which is f'n awesome. But doesn't make for great "and then what happens next" unless you establish what is going on politically. Which, sadly, FFT does.

3rd: Everyone who means anything is either in an alternate dimension or dead. That is a hard resurrection no matter how you spin it.

You did all the work building the engine and mechanics. Just make another game using it while expanding on the existing systems a bit. You don't need to do any more with the story of the original game than any of the GBA sequels did - nadda.

They could write a new story then make little men fight in squares over it. It doesnt have to be a continuation of the tactics setting in terms of some years down the road. Could be anywhere in the world at any time. Or a new setting like all mainline ffs

Triangle stratigy and convalaria did good story telling. And good little men fighting in squares.

Arbiters mark had fun fighting but a dorky story. Convalaria had good fight and story but an impacted ass full of gatcha.

Like everything else squaresoft did. They just abandoned the genre they could have kept making this whole time cus they are retarded. They make new engines to use once. They make Assets to use once. Its insane.

Yea classes in arbiters are dope to mix and match. Grest iteration of it.

Triangle strat was set classes for guys...like a shining force almost. Convalaria was gatcha mc gatch... but the spiral was really good. Better than it had any right to be if you just use in world menz
