I have spent a metric ass ton of time doing harvesting and crafting while leveling up and doing MSQs. I am sure that has bit in to my rest experience a lot.

It's different in the sense that with 8 people you are recruiting more like a sports team than a guild or community.
I've said maybe 3 words outside of raiding to our samurai I'm pretty sure he's from like Belarus or something but he shows up and does his job.
It's just 100% reliability and effort since it's detached from the social FC aspect.

Dude I get yelled at if I pull under 5k dps as a scholar. Meanwhile we have tanks that don’t know how to use cooldowns on black smokers. Healer doing 0dps means they are new to this game.

I finally managed to purchase a small house for my FC. It took a while, I saw houses for sale all the time, but they were not ready for purchase yet, and I never bothered to wait for one to become available, timer being 1 to 24 hours, I don't have that amount of time to waste. This morning found one where that was available.
It's in The Goblet which is my least favorite district, but who am I to complain.
I built the Workshop, and now need to gather 50 billions mats to make my first airship.

I got to the last section of MSQ for Heavensward this weekend. I probably would have gotten more done, but my cat passed away Sunday. After that, I just didn't really give a damn about anything.
That all being said, I really like the look of the last zone (I am assuming it is the last zone). The visuals in this game continue to just blow me away.

This might not be a big spoiler, but for anyone that doesn't know that you get flying chocobos in Heavensward I didn't want to give it away.
Now that I have unlocked flying in a couple zones of Heavensward, it has massively improved the ease and enjoyment of some of doing some of the side quests. I did all but one of the dragon side quests just because it was easy to fly back and forth between the objectives.
The only side quest I can't fidugre out there is a flower I'm supposed to pick, but I can't find it. I've gone to the location on the map, and checked both the above ground and the below ground areas of that location, but I have yet to find a flower. I ended up abandoning the quest, but might try it again in the future just to be a completionist.

I run a super small FC in gilga if you just want the FC buffs and a house to port to. It's not really a guild FC though just me and some friends.

I look at companies like Square who patrol their MMORPGs as if they actually give a damn, and I wonder why in the hell other companies don't do the same.
They do this twice a month, and they post it to be seen on their news feed. You're lucky if you see a ban once a year for other MMORPGs.
To me, this is what it means to give a shit about your game and it's community.

So do they verify that those 1,743 accounts that were used to advertise RMT activities were actually bought and paid for that reason or if they were hacked accounts from otherwise legitimate accounts.
I had my wow account hacked years ago and aside from sharding and selling all my shit, they used my account to create alts to spam shit. Blizzard recovered my shit, and the specialist said the hackers usually DON'T use hacked accounts like that but instead use stolen credit cards to buy new accounts instead.

I do know what you are talking about though. It happened to my brother's account back in the day in WoW. He logged in to find his character standing at a mailbox naked. He didn't get banned, but it sucked that he had lost his stuff.
That being said, I have always suspected that it was due to a certain program he used to run for fun. The reason for my belief is that he just happened to get hacked while we were away from the game for a long time. It's my belief that a certain program was keeping track of your activity, and if it saw you had not logged in to the game in a few weeks or more, it would alert them to log in to your account and empty it with the thought being you won't login to figure it out for many months or more.
I always assumed this was what was going on because his account got hacked, and mine didn't. Low and behold, I didn't use the program.

Yeah it's new accounts.
But for all the bans they hand, the game is still heavily bot infested. On EU they've been concentrated on the new servers but every ban wave, Tamtara and Qarn basically become unplayable(as in you can't enter the dungeon, even unsynced on your own, it'll be reserving servers for hours). Wandering Palace has been in that state forever since that's what they farm at cap. And you have bots spamming RMT shit in all starting capitals all day and in the Novice Chat too. Overall I know many people feel like Square actually does nothing against bots because they see so many.
But they do ban them, but they just remake accounts constantly. It's more or less an unwinnable battle. The best bet would be to make a way to skip ARR MSQ entirely, so basically the bots mostly become hidden from people and stick to dungeons instead of doing the MSQ and one shotting random mobs from under the world and turning in quests with dozens of chars at a time resulting in weird level up spam. Like wow does pretty much, bots are still on wow, they're just not displayed for anyone to see cause there's no reason to and they ban them and they remake accounts but that shit's basically in the background and out of sight out of mind for most people. While in XIV, if you hang around the ARR areas you're bound to see bots teleporting around and shit.
