Last day of a free weekend, game has really turned around with this patch and I find myself enjoying it more than Squad and Post Scriptum.





If anyone wants to squad up and get some tips from a vet let me know. One smalls squad can roast a shit load of free weekenders right now.

I don't know if I agree with that but to each their own. There is definitely a learning curve though.

Meta
  • Synced resource generation (nodes will no longer generate resources +1 minute from when they were placed but instead generate in sync with ambient resource generation)
  • Removed the Final Stand Commander Ability (we are temporarily removing the ability as we look at alternative functions that are more balanced)
  • The Encouraged Commander Ability now only generates additional resources provided by nodes
  • Added Spawn Medium Tank to US Commander Abilities

  • Increased Heavy Tank fuel costs from 400 to 600

I'm not sure about cross-play but it was free on PS+ a bit ago. It's a fast paced more realistic game but not so bad that it makes you hate life when squad leading, like Squad.

Pretty brutal though and you will get shit on alot.

I have no idea why this game isn't more popular. Probably the best FPS to come out since BC2. Typically, my love for FPS the last 5-6 years or so has fallen off a cliff, due to how prevalent cheaters are. In a game like this, while I'm sure cheaters exist, because it only takes one bullet, it's faaaaaaaaaar less pronounced. Not to mention, leading the team with 52 kills and 1 death doesn't necessarily do much for the overall objective/goal of the game. The amount of coordination, communication, etc. required is fucking fantastic and really reminds me of those old PS1(Planetside)days. I don't think I've ever seen an FPS that requires coordination and effective communication like this one. On top of all that, you have proximity/squad/etc. voice chat that allows for some fucking hilarious and nostalgia inducing toxicity that calls back to the days of Unreal Tournament 2k, Tribes, etc. As an example...

There was a dude who joins our squad with Chinese letters. So, another teammate runs up to him(not in our squad) and goes, "Oh, Chinaman! China I love! China great!" in proximity chat. Then, he proceeded to follow him around for 10 minutes singing this type of shit in a really horrible, exaggerated Chinese accent...


Needless to say I couldn't stop fucking dying laughing for a good 20 minutes. Was it helpful to the team? No. Did we win the round? No. Was it fun, funny as fuck and a moment you aren't really "allowed" to have in FPS'/online games anymore? You bet your ass.

With the death of Battlefield I was looking for another fps. I picked this up a few months back. It was pretty fun but seemed like a lot to learn. My old man brain was overwhelmed.

Game is great but I have to be atleast with one other person I know to have a good time now, it's rare to get a good talkative squad.

Gameplay wise this game is great, still needs more maps and some tweaks but a great game. Glad to see more people are trying it, it's come a long way.
