Havent played that one, but an FOHer made a very (very) similar game for iOS called Yeti Town that was addictive as hell. I downloaded it in the afternoon, sat on the couch and was in the dark when my battery died.

I really like Unity of Commandhttp://store.steampowered.com/app/218090/

It's a turn based operational level game about the Stalingrad campaign in WWII, like an old Avalon Hill (or newer GMT or MMP) game. If you have heard of those compaines, or just like turn based strategy games download the demo, you will probably like it. Rumor has it there is another campaign and a scenario editor on the way.

Here's a weekly podcast that talks about indie games pretty regularly. The guys that do the podcast are the developers behindKingdom of Loathing, which has been their full time job for most of the last decade. Their next gameWord Realmsis getting pretty close to almost ready to finish up that whole beta testing phase any week now, so keep an eye out for that too.

P.S. Not a shill, just a fanboi.

http://store.steampowered.com/app/209950/triple town looks amazing but I have been burned before. Anyone play it?
Game is fun for a bit, I have it for my tablet. It's a decent time killer, dunno if it's worth the 7 or whatever they're selling it for. Makes a fun tablet/time killer though.

Oh you mean the Yeti town? The company of which (6waves) who was sued by Spryfox (the makers of Triple Town) for copying their game? Hilarious that it was made by an FoH'er though, I'll have to go look up who made it.

EDIT: Apparently due to the settlement Spryfox now owns the IP for Yeti Town, lol.http://www.pocketgamer.co.uk/r/iPad/...ws.asp?c=45754

Another + for Terraria. I managed to get like 80 hours out of it, which ain't bad for a $10 game. It's basically a mix between minecraft and a 16-bit era platformer.

Also its spiritual successor Starbound appears to be due out in a couple months.

Still a work in progress, but you can already buy it and experience the beta:Proteus

A kind of anti-game about the musical exploration of an island. Brilliant and very original.

The only reason I can see for that happening is if the people running the Kickstarter wanted it to fail for some reason (cold feet, maybe?). There is no way that the people behind it couldn't have fronted the money themselves, or had a friend/family member throw in the last $28

A few that were already mentioned and some other ones. I have played most of the ones mentioned already but...

1. Mark of the Ninja - God damn awesome stealth platformer. A++.
2. Super Meat Boy - Also an excellent platformer.
3. Awesomenauts - Surprisingly addicting 2D sidescrolling DOTA-type game. I've probably put in about 60+ hours into it by now.
4. Bastion - Play it, end of story.
5. Stealth Bastard Deluxe - Another awesome platformer.

I've had a pretty big hard-on for Indie titles lately, but mainly platform or puzzle. If there's any that I missed that must be played. Do tell!

A Valley Without Wind is pretty interesting, but I would download the demo and try before you buy.

Also heard good things about Deadlight, but have not played it myself.

Some of the indie titles I like:

Realm of the Mad God
Killing Floor
King's Bounty
Terraria
Torchlight
Altitude
Dungeons of Dredmor
Defense Grid
Recettear
Plants vs Zombies
Bastion
Cave Story

Some I didn't care for:

Puzzle Quest
Quantz
Uplink
A Reckless Disregard for Gravity
Machinarium
Fate of the World
Zombie Driver
Runespell Overture

Not saying they are terrible games, I just couldn't get into them.

Kerbal Space Program

https://kerbalspaceprogram.com/

it's game where you create your own space program. you must build a space-worthy craft, capable of flying it's crew out into space (flying to moon and some planets), without killing them.

has anyone played this game before?
