What is going to put downward pressure on longterm rates? Debt levels are historically terrible, there is no path to reverse them getting worse. Worldwide demographics are awful - consumption isn't going to go up if everyone is aging into death. Not to mention no one of working age to produce shit means the cost to do so will skyrocket.

The only question you should be asking is who was and why were they buying this dogshit federal/state/local debt for the last 20 years.

Have you.... have you met a boomer before?

Grabbed a couple hundred SPY shares on the huge 5min volume bar when it overextended the 100DMA. Looks decent, especially after the 100D reclaim.

I took some money off the table earlier this week, particularly in tech exposure. it's difficult to read this market. Wildly high valuations, government bond rate going up despite rate cuts, what will Trump's plan really do. Lot of retail Andy's pumped the markets last year which is generally not a great sign.

I think a goodly amount of this mornings downturn was uncertainty at the Trump sentencing at 10am. Once he got the sentence that was expected the buyers stepped in.

Tencent taking over the world one video game company at a time
Most valuable Chinese company is a video game company in a country that heavily regulates video games but exports them unregulated.

Outside of the two oil companies only a few that actually produce anything that is physical, Apple being one. Of course I"m old.

Except Apple really doesn't; Foxconn does.

Amazon and Walmart have massive logistics networks. Which isn't the same as production but is definitely physical.
