Depends what you're using it for. If you have kids, probably not needed but could provide more entertainment. There isn't a large selection of games or must haves just yet, but you can bet there will be the staple Mario and Zelda type games that you won't want to miss out on.
Personally I'm waiting for the new Monster Hunter in March. That game alone will have me buying a Wii U.
