Stuck on night shift. 13 hour long shift sucks and the clock in the kitchen at work died an hour after I changed the time. Almost had a heart attack thinking I still had 5 hours to go.

I spent 3 years in AZ and this is totally not true. Living in a state where you want the day to end as early as possible so you can go outside without dying isn't a good tradeoff for not having to change your clock twice a year.

Daylight saving is indeed bullshit. At least in the Fall shit is pushed back an hour for some reason that always feels better of the two.

I read that it was put in place during world war one to help conserve heating oil used in the evening, which would help with the war effort.

I'm in Queensland, Aus. We don't have it here, I'm happy about that.
