Baron Realms Elite and Tradewars 2002 were the gold standard of BBS games IMO. LORD was super solid casual fun.

Wish it were possible to have forum versions of those games.

tangent: I hope that when we are all old as fuck and in old-people-homes roting away, we dont just sit around and stare at the walls. I hope we fire up some LAN party shit like this or make a BBS or something. We probably wont be able to do all the crazy fancy stuff like EQ with all the clicking and shit, but these text based BBS games? These are the games of the future for us.
I used to be afraid of getting old until I realized that it's just gonna be a bunch of us playing MMOs and shitting ourselves and having a great time. We won't even need to do it in a sock. It will be expected of us.

I remember running LoRD and Tradewars on my BBS back in the day. That was a really long time ago.
I can't remember if this was pc only or if I had it on my c64 BBS as well. I started off in the BBS scene in c64, went to Amiga, and then went to PC.
I remember ACiD (Ansi Creators in Demand), THG, and Razor1911.
If I recall correctly, my c64 BBS ran on Image64. It was hacked, and every time it loaded up, the hack promo would play Rush's Tom Sawyer.
There were a number of BBS packages I used on the PC including: Poison BBS, LSD BBS, WWiV, and some I forget.

There was some bbs game that my friend and I played alot, but I can't remember much about it, nor the name. What I do remember is something to do with Conan, maybe? You fought other players by throwing your weapons at each other, I think, and it was full loot (?)
We finally got a weapon that could one shot people by cutting their head off. I remember being super addicted to it. Does this ring a bell to anyone? Would love to look it up again for nostalgia.
