(Search doesn't work (been weeks now, at least), so sorry if we already have a thread for this.)

1930's gangster game. Enjoyed this much more than I expected. Totally recommended if you like story driven games, I really cared for the characters in the end. Shooting is simple cover shooting. No levels, no skills, just a guy and his guns.

It often feels more AA than AAA, but I really felt like watching an old school gangster movie. Graphics has no flashy effects, but looks absolutely gorgeous in places. Cars are awesome.

PRO
Great story telling.
They nailed the 1930's setting.
Great, albeit simple, graphics.
Really fun shooting, despite the simplicity.
Really cool cars.

CON
Too much driving, but at least it was fun most of the time.

all 3 games are great, even 3 imo which has you playing as a giant black vietnam vet killing KKK dudes is pretty awesome although it drags way too much in the middle with endless ubisoft style fedex quests to the swamp and back. It has an amazing radio juke box too, i really enjoying just cruising around listening to the 1960s radio. the violence in that game is unbelievable, the whole thing felt super wild in how racist, sexist, violent, etc bad guys were back then

mafia 1 & 2 DE i think are on ps+ not sure, thats where I played them anyways. Fairly easy games to platinum too.

mafia 4 is currently in production and is a prequel set in late 1800s sicily
