I haven't ever played any monster Hunter but this looks good, I'll have to give the demo a try, I like the zelda crossover stuff

Would like to give this a shot just because of the staggering amount of content but it's releasing at a shitty time heh. Don't think I have it in me to grind out to MH games in a year.

So spent quite a few hours playing today. Got most of the hr1 stuff done, did some farming etc. Digging aerial style. Using sns for now, lots of changes from mhw but I'm still enjoying the game. Might just be me but it feels harder, and holy shit so many monsters to fight.

Anyone else playing want to group up?

I'll be curious what you think. Night and day difference in QoL issues between this and MHW. (Played it on my 3DS)

10 Bucks you throw your switch against the wall about design decisions faster than your first controller when playing Bloodborne.

Honestly, you will probably still get upset at the lack of QoL design features I believe. Thing is though, you may play this first and dismiss Monster Hunter. (That almost happened to me) until I figured ok I want to play this in 4k HDR on a major console finally... Let's see what happens.

The QoL features of World made it one of the best games I have ever played. I Struggled through very piss poor design decisions in Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate for the Wii U, and this game for 3DS.

So if you do happen to play this first, and dislike it, make sure you don't dismiss the series outright because Monster Hunter World kicked major ass and was infinitely better than any other Monster Hunter previously.

If you have a choice between this and Monster Hunter world, Pick World and POSSIBLY grab this on a sale. Or by that time wait for another MH to come out.

Rip Rocket Powered Monster ...(HR version only sadly), this explains a lot of the math behind either games(same rules apply too both, but with world there are some adjusted values)

So is anyone actively playing this side from me? Would some to group up with some forums bro and pound some monsters. Currently rank 6 I think. Both in multi-player and single player. Been loving dual blades striker. So much fun. Aerial hammer and GS super fun too.

I played the shit out of XX when it came out in Japan. Funny to see all the World casuals calling this too hard now because they're used to monsters being downed for 75% of their lifespan. I enjoyed World, but the QoL stuff came at the cost of a ton of fun complexity and monster variety.
