Wait what? 2026? I expected it to be like 2029 at the end, if there was a date at all. No gameplay footage at all, but 2026? Doubt.
That trailer makes me depressed because I know the game won't capture any of the magic I felt in 1999 and will, like the audio cues of the trailer, just make me realize how gone those days are.
People need to step their game up and post more trailers.
New FF game. I think it's just Brave Exvius, the phone game, though it looks like they expanded on it a lot at least.
Duskbloods trailer...shows absolutely nothing, considering it's supposed to be out in October...
Kingdom Hearts 4. They would have been fine ending with 3. This has those hyperrealistic visuals (UE5, I think?) that I'm seeing more of lately.
Xenoblade...4? Prequel? Wait it doesn't matter cause those games make no effort to have a timeline do they?
While I liked XB1, 2, and X (never got to 3) this one is genetically designed to be everything I don't want from this sort of game. Anime aesthetic, takes place in a fucking high school, female lead is a scowling unfriendly person who probably emasculates the main hero right away. I meet enough scowling unfriendly women in real life, thanks to them growing up with media that taught them to be scowling and unfriendly, probably.
However, the last few seconds gained some interest from me. An inverted world? Very Terranigma on the SNES.
So basically, probably nothing here I'm going to play, except Ocarina which will remind me of how much more fun life was when I was a kid. However, lot of good stuff regardless, Switch 2 finally giving people reasons to be excited.

Ocarina of Time remake sounds like an obvious money printing machine (and it WILL print money), but I'll admit I'm not sure what I want from it.
If they're going for a 1 to 1 remake with modern graphics, then the game will be done in a few hours because every Zelda fan has played it dozens of times and knows where to find everything.
If they're going to make it a completely new world but keep some elements from the original game, is it still a remake or is it "in name only"?
I suppose the best way is a sort of middle ground where some things are in the same locations (keep the overall world layout) but make everything bigger and shinier (bigger cities, more npcs, larger overworld with more to do in it...) but then that means you also have to change the dungeons layouts and puzzles or everything gets solved easily.. but then you risk alienating fans that loved this puzzle or that room in the original..
It's Zelda so it's gonna sell like hot cakes anyway, but this isn't really the easy peasy magic button people imagine it is for Nintendo, especially with such a revered game in the series, expectations will be really high.
It'd have been easier to remake Zelda 2 : Link's Adventure with modern graphics (please do that next Nintendo, give that to the studio that did Metroid Dread).
