Well, here we go again...

Crowd funding started for Oort Online recently. Multi-world voxel based sandbox (sound familiar?) with the ability to purchase private worlds.

$95 tier gets you instant access. I've locked my wallet outside in the shed for the evening as a precaution until I do more research.

Man, I love these voxel games. They look cool, and I like building and destroying structures and landmass. I'd like to see a voxel MMO done right.

Oort online? I came here thinking I'd find vast vistas of the outer solar system, lots of iceteroids and dwarven planets to explore in an EVE-like game, and I get some generic fantasy game? Don't designers know whatknow what words mean anymore?

I went the same route as Ukerric, and felt a 4X game kind of vibe from it as well. Game looks interesting, but Im not beta testing anyone elses shit for 100 bucks. Especially what amounts to a fancy Minecraft.
