I finally decided to give it another shot this week and actually managed to get it installed and working.

MW1 takes up like 150 GB. ONE HUNDRED FIFTY GB. And that's the PS4 version, I didn't even get the PS5 version (if there is one).

I'll say this though, MW1 is one of the best-looking games I've ever played, despite this being a PS4 version. It looks better than nearly all of the PS5 games I've played. I'm not even kidding. Maybe it's stealthily upscaled to being PS5 level or something? Because this looks flat-out amazing. A lot of the scenes look photorealistic and the framerate is so high that it's pretty much real life (wouldn't shock me if it was 120 Hz).

Really impressed with the game, it was worth going through the trouble to get through all of the installation crap. I'm going to run the campaigns for the new trilogy whenever I've got time. CoD has such underrated campaign modes.

Funny thing about MW 2019 for me is that was a game I distinctly remember complaining about when it came to it's installation. I remember having the game downloaded and one day having some issue because they decided to breakdown the game content into a bunch of DLC packs, and I had to download like 10 DLC packs, and some of them wouldn't install right and the whole thing was just a massive pain in the ass for me to get working and in the end it took up over 150gb. I have never even bothered going back to that one as a result, a shame because it's a cool game if you can get away from all the bullshit. Right now I have Cold War and Advanced Warfare as the only COD games on my PS5, and it's nice how direct and lightweight Advanced Warfare is now a days, Cold War takes up over 200GB, think it might even be over 250GB, which is just insane for a single game. Shit like that is why I don't even want to bother with the latest ones.

You are right about graphics from last gen still being impressive. I got a PS5 Pro and have a 4TB SSD dedicated to nothing but PS4 games and it's amazing how many PS4 games can look just as good if not better than most PS5 games. Graphics have truly stagnated and plateaued over the past decade, it's why I couldn't care less about any hype over the latest gaming hardware or technology, it's all a bunch of industry hype over some shit I can barely notice and it's not like the latest games are better than older games anyways.

Advanced Warfare is criminally underrated IMO. Probably my favorite of the 2010's CODs besides World War 2.

CODs might be ridiculous in terms of hard drive space, but they sure make good use of that space. Their visual fidelity always feels top-tier for any given year and they make other shooters look like they're cutting corners graphically.

There's still some room for visual improvements and I'm looking forward to PS6 so that we can hopefully get to a point where "Graphics Mode" and "Performance Mode" are no longer necessary and games can run Ray-Tracing and all the good-looking stuff while also being 60 FPS. One of the reasons graphics feel like they've stagnated is because we have to play everything on Performance Mode. Try things like Demon Souls Remake and MGS3 Remake on Graphics Mode (also Black Myth Wukong and Wuchang: Fallen Feathers) and they look absolutely cutting-edge and amazing. ...then you have to flip them back to Performance Mode to actually play and they're not that much better-looking than games from five years ago.

zero interest in another girl boss game featuring a VA who is very vocal about being woke, be interesting to see how this sells though compared to sushi 1. game also sounds like basically the latest assassins creed story wise.

crazy busy gaming time now with Battlefield 6, silksong, silent hill f, final fantasy tactics, arc raiders, call of duty 2025, all the sports games, etc

It's like we get it, video game journalists love girlboss games from game devs that empower hateful death-cult activists.

I don't care for what they cheer at because I have seen what makes them boo, and I don't care for their boos because I have seen what makes them cheer.

I am just now playing their first Spider-man and it is fucking awesome. Pretty sad they used the second one to cast off Peter for Miles.

I want this to be good. It seems marrying Wolverine with the fluidity of combat in Spider-man and/or Rocksteady’s Arkham games would print money.

Now someone just needs to release me an open world punisher game set in Chicago or Detroit and I will jerk myself raw.

Trying Call of Duty Black Ops 6 (along with Modern Warfare 2019). Thoughts:

I like MW2019 a lot, looks incredible and feels like an old-school COD. Is this new MW trilogy supposed to be a remake/reimagining of the first MW trilogy back in the day, or sequels? Might as well have called them 4/5/6 if that is the case.

As for Black Ops 6, man, this is the wokeist COD I've ever seen. It's weird because Black Ops 5 was so anti-communist and portrayed Reagan in a positive light, etc. BO6 on the other hand is kinda ridiculous. There's a rainbow-colored assault rifle you can buy with what looks like a pink dildo on the front. Looking at the cast, all of the villains are white men, while all of the good characters are either black men, lesbian-ish white women, or gender-unknown non-binaries. They literally just split it along those lines, like Star Wars Episode 8 did.

What really seems like a mockery of the playerbase is that there's one white male on the good guy team and he looks just like the "alpha chad" meme with the strong jaw and everything...then it pans out and you find out he's in a wheelchair. So the one white male is a disabled wheelchair-bound handicapped person that they specifically made to look like that one meme (which I assume they hate).

Fuckin' bizarre.

Yeah I think Cold War was the last decent COD, it came out in 2020. Vanguard is what they came out with next, probably the wokest WW2 game ever. Feels like they have been doubling down hard on all the LGBT left wing shit ever since.

Black Ops 6 is actually a direct sequel to Cold War, which I didn't expect. Cold War seems to be retconned as "Black Ops 5" officially now too.

Noticed a lot of soldiers wearing keffiyehs (usually semi-hidden, like here). Was this attire a normal thing during the two Iraq wars, or something else they added during the ideology-infestation of Black Ops 6's development?

I'm seeing more keffiyehs on the "friendly side" (who are supposed to be American troops) than I am on the actual Iraqi troops (which to be fair could have a real-world explanation, like Saddam's regime being a secular one, which is why I'm asking about it).

That was really common during Iraq, seems like soldiers were always wearing those then. I think they liked having them in case of a sandstorm or something.

Nice, they FINALLY released Tekken 3 outside of that awful PS Classic mini-console! I don't know why it took them this long, but that's always been one of my favorite Tekken games.

I already got the games I find appealing on that list, and Plus Extra is just not my thing, but I am glad to see Sony taking it to Xbox right now, hitting them where it hits them the hardest: how Game Pass stacks up to the competition.
