edit.. having watched the trailer, yeah it outright says it is.

Story meanders and loses its focus a lot. Should have probably been 3 episodes instead of 8. Decent premise, poor execution.

i dont know anything about it or astro boy but i know some of you are probably huge astro boy fans and apparently this show is derived from that
